Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarized and polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens.

Cokin P Series Polarizer filters allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc. They also saturate colors and increase contrast.

They comes in two variation of polarizing filters such as linear and circular but they both have same effect, both are used for color and black and white photography and they both cuts reflecting light by any surface. Linear polarizing work with older camera meters; while circular polarizing is intended for today's newer slpit-beam metering systems used in auto focus cameras.
